We have all heard the Golden Rule: "Due unto others as you would have them do unto you." Alongside this text, Jesus said not to cast your pearls before swine. Oleg takes us to a better understanding of these texts.
It is easy to cast blame. Economies are in turmoil. Wars are being waged. Human nature is to look to the leaders and criticize them. Jesus tells us to "judge not, lest we be judged." Does this mean that we shouldn't criticize those around us? What type of judgement is Jesus referring to? Alongside this text, Jesus also shares a fascinating analogy, telling us not to give what is holy to dogs or throw pearls to swine. We wouldn't think of doing that.
